Henry Cavill’s Superman surprise in the end credits scene of Black Adam was annoying

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is one of Hollywood’s finest pitchmen, and he’s spent a fair amount of time Black Adam Press tour about a possible showdown between his formidable DC Extended Universe villain Black Adam and the Man of Steel. So it’s downright anticlimactic to discover that Johnson’s resurrected demigod shares the screen with Henry Cavill’s Superman during the closing credits of Jaume Collet-Serra’s superhero extravaganza, which serves as a sneak peek at possible comic things to come.
Johnson’s desire to meddle with the already-established DCEU and immediately take on its most famous member is more than a little reminiscent of when the actor joined the DCEU Fast and Furious franchise and immediately tussled with his big dog, Vin Diesel. As in that road rage series, there’s no way Johnson’s late-to-party intruder can actually win such a fight; For all his super speed, strength, and ability to fly and shoot lightning from his fingertips, Black Adam is still a second-rate Superman variant destined for defeat (or, at best, a stalemate) in any eventual fight against the original.
