A Brooklyn man claims a confused stranger loosened his front teeth during a random scuffle on a Village F-Bahn platform – and transit workers did nothing to intervene, according to a lawsuit. Bret Mahrer, 29, was minding his business on the northbound train as he pulled into the West 14th Street/6th Avenue station when he noticed a stranger “looking intently at him” and “mouthing something,” according to court records. When the train doors opened, the man started to leave, but suddenly turned and punched Mahrer in the face as he was standing on the train. “Everything happened in a millisecond. North Korea fired a short-range ballistic missile toward the sea off the east coast of the Korean peninsula on Sunday, according to South Korea and Japan, the latest in a spate of weapons tests by the nuclear-armed state. The missile, which was launched around 11:05 a.m. from the Dongchang-ri site on the west coast, flew about 500 miles before hitting a target, according to a South Korean military statement. The Japanese Defense Ministry said the missile flew up to 30 miles. Seoul has condemned the North’s recent launches of ballistic missiles as “clear violations” of a UN Security Council resolution.
