Budget 2023 expected to unveil renters’ credit and third-level fee cut

 A tax credit for renters and double benefits are among the measures expected in the 2023 Budget, which is formally presented in the Chamber of Parliament of Ireland at 1pm on Tuesday. n one of Ireland’s biggest budgets in years, the coalition government is under pressure to strike the right balance as energy, fuel, food and housing bills skyrocket. One measure to be announced has already been described as a “serious disappointment”. The government had said in the summer that the budget would be worth €6.7 billion, but on Sunday it released a white paper saying it had a €4.4 billion surplus, mainly due to the inflated budget corporate tax performance. A one-off package of measures to help people with inflationary prices has yet to be calculated – with ministers pointing out less than two weeks before Budget Day that a decision has yet to be made on how much of the surplus to use to help people who are rising cost of living. The deal was announced Tuesday (September 20) by Tunji Balogun, chairman and CEO of Def Jam Recordings, and Seni “Chubbz” Saraki and Teni “Teezee” Zaccheaus, co-presidents and co-founders of NATIVE Networks. NATIVE Records is the music division of NATIVE Networks, the black-owned, multi-platform, multi-disciplinary media and content company dedicated to the discovery and development of young African artists and youth culture.
